The databases listed below may be of use to you in your job search and career preparation. You may want to research your potential careeer, watch a video about job interviewing, or prepare for an upcoming test. While these databases provide a good starting point for your research, other databases are also available. To view the complete list of databases, go to the Maag Library Home Page and click on Research Databases on the left side of the screen under Quick Links.

    Academic Search Complete, designed specifically for academic institutions, is the world’s most comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc.

    Collections of electronic images, videos, and sound. This database is freely available to anyone. Collections: Art & Architecture, History & Archives, Multi-Subject Videos, Science.

  • LEARNING EXPRESS LIBRARY / OFF CAMPUS ACCESS / LIBRARY HELP CENTER
    LearningExpress Library offers students and adults unlimited, 24/7 access to targeted skill-building interactive courses in math, reading, and writing, as well as hundreds of online interactive practice tests that prepare them for several types of exams including grade school achievement tests, the SAT, GED, U.S. Citizenship, and civil service positions. Complete answer explanations accompany each response so that patrons understand why a particular answer is correct or incorrect. All practice tests include instant diagnostic score reports that help patrons to target those skill areas that need the most attention. Learning Express Library can be accessed from any web-enabled computer in the library, computer lab, office, or home. To take a test at LearningExpress Library, you first set up your own individual account. If you are off-campus, first use OhioLINK remote authentication proxy URL (or your institution’s off-campus access method) to connect to LearningExpress, and then log into LearningExpress with your individual account.

    Great for researching a local or national company before a job interview. This database of 14 million U.S. Businesses contains verified, accurate data and is updated monthly. Selection criteria include: Business Name, Executive Name, Business Type, Sales Volume, Employee Size, Year Established, plus more.

Use MJF: Maag Journal Finder to locate the print and/or electronic holdings of journals. You can search for a specific journal title or browse journals by title or subject.
